AnalyzeIT collects and extracts information on all the application's components to perform an inspection of the application's structure. The survey is performed on the application level and program level, during which an inventory is created to store the components (COBOL programs and copy books, BMS/MFS screens, file and table definitions, batch scripts such as JCL and other items). Using a large multi-phase compiler package that supports a wide range of COBOL dialects, as well as embedded code such as CICS, SQL, DDL, BMS and MFS, it defines all the relationships between the application's components, and maps its structure and workflow.
