Description:
Severe weather alerting system

AlertMe warns you instantly of warnings and advisories for any state you choose. It also brings up radar, forecasts, satellite, surface map, today's and tomorrow's severe weather forecast, and current conditions with the click of a single button. You choose: 1) What state your in 2) What of the 15 warnings and advisories you want it to look for. Then you can minimize the program and have it work in your background while you surf the net or do whatever it is you normally do on your computer. It will pop up alerts when they come out, with the option of sounding a audiable alarm, and then you can click a button for info direct from the National Weather Service. It is that simple, and the alerts generated by AlertMe are as fast as the National Weather Service is able to issue the warnings and post them in the Internet, which generally is within a minute from when they issue the warning. This is as real-time as you can possibly get without purchasing a weather radio. The advantages of AlertMe over a weather radio are that a weather radio only set off an alarm when a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning is issued. AlertMe sets off a visual alarm and a sound alarm for 15 different types of warnings and advisories. They include: Tornado Warning Flood Warning River Flood Warning Dense Fog Advisory High Wind Warning Wind Advisory Heat Advisory Hurricane Watches/Warnings Severe Thunderstorm Warning Blizzard Warning Heavy Snow Warning Winter Storm Warning Snow Advisory Winter Weather Advisory Wind Chill Advisory With it's ease of use, and power, it is a sure-fire way to get the information you need fast and accurately. Download a copy of the program to give it a free try yourself.

Minimum requirements: Windows 95, or 98, and an Internet connection. content_stop
