Server Warden is a server-monitoring tool created by Data Center management professionals. Utilizing a hidden function in the simple user interface, Server Warden monitors HTTP, FTP, the mail-server, ports and other devices both periodically and continuously 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Server Warden allows simultaneous monitoring of both the server and services at varying intervals. If a problem is detected, Server Warden scans repeatedly every minute until service returns to normal.

When a problem is detected, Sever Warden notifies the administrator using various methods. One way is an audible computer alarm is sounded and a red signal appears on the control screen. Once the problem is resolved, the alarm stops and the red signal changes to green. An E-mail notification can be sent to a specified address, or a problem is relayed using the "net send" command. Once the problem is resolved Server Warden is equipped with a logging function that records all inspections and diagnostics performed for a particular file. All logs are recorded and made accessible for a specified number of days.

Minimum requirements: All platforms running Microsoft. Windows. (due to the operating system specifications, Windows 98 and Me cannot use the net send command. Excludes Windows 3.0 and 3.1)
